Asphalt mixing plants were replacing wear parts frequently, driving up downtime, maintenance labor, and spare-parts inventory in one of the most abrasive zones of the plant.

Solution

KING CASTING supplied 3X and 5X wear blocks cast from proprietary high-chromium iron formulas refined over thirty years. Each block was customizable to the plant's mixer and inspected under ASTM G65 abrasion standards before shipment.

Customers reported three to five times longer service life than conventional wear parts, extending replacement cycles and translating directly into lower operating costs.
